The Connect Care initiative brings major change to how clinicians work, share and serve. Despite best efforts to design best workflows, Connect Care users face many unknowns as they go through transformative adaptation to discover optimized practices. Modernized policies and procedures will emerge.
Connect Care faces its change management unknowns with user-validated principles. These inform statements of reciprocal expectation and accountability between providers and consumers of health information services. Such are "compacts". Typically short and simple, compacts can be easier to action than complex agreements or contracts.
Where the focus is on expectations and accountabilities of users towards one another, we speak of "norms". These describe best behaviors that help all Connect Care stakeholders to do their best.
