All User Bulletin - Network Service Interruption

All-user-bulletins highlight stumbling blocks that all physicians need to be aware of when using the Connect Care clinical information system.

Network Service Interruption

Update (11:27am)The network connectivity issues have been resolved and the Connect Care system has been stabilized. Frontline staff can start their clinical back entry only for patients that have been admitted before downtime started (patients that have an encounter).

HIM will register those in-patients and emergency patients that were seen and registered on paper during downtime in chronological order. Clinical back entry for these patients cannot occur until this step is done.  HIM will communicate with ZEOC when the registration process is complete for each zone.

Ambulatory clinics can start registering those patients they have seen during downtime. Once they are registered, clinical back entry for those patients can start.

Prescribers needing assistance can still use the CMIO's Virtual Drop-In Centre, open today until 16:00.

If your site was unaffected and did not enter downtime procedures, no action is needed from you at this time.

---

Please be advised there are Network connectivity issues across multiple sites throughout the province. IT teams are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution. In the meantime, if your site is affected, please use downtime procedures. Prescribers needing assistance can use the CMIO's Virtual Drop-In Centre, open today until 16:00.

Note that BCA web is not accessible. Please login to your BCA PCs and utilize the BCA Printing icon to access downtime reports during this interruption.

Possible workarounds can include tethering to an external AHS network through your cellular devices.
